Hey guys! I decided to do something different this year. I'm hosting the first ever annual Mid Year CDS Music Chart Awards, new for the 2014 year. Items nominated were selected from releases December 2013 through May 2014. In some cases, tracks released before that period were deemed eligible if they became popular or were promotionally released during that time frame.
Shakira leads the nominations with 6 nominations in 5 categories. Beyoncé takes second with 5 nominations in 5 categories. Coldplay takes 3rd with 5 nominations in 4 categories. Pharrell Williams, OneRepublic, Iggy Azalea and Katy Perry takes the next round with 4 each (in 4 categories). Lorde, Jason Derülo and OneRepublic round out the top 10 with 3 each.
