Social Songs 100 Forecast: Oliver Heldens x Becky Hill and DJ Fresh x Ellie Goulding Among Top Debuts

We've already covered the Hot 50 forecast, so it's time to look at which songs are burning up the Social Songs 100. It's going to be one wild week, so remember to keep it here for more news, and don't forget to vote for your favorites of the week by clicking here! See the biggest climbers and highest entries through the mid week point just below.
As briefly covered in the Hot 50 forecast, DJ Fresh and Ellie Goulding are set to control the top of the Social Songs 100 this week with their newly released, revamped single "Flashlight. With 33 positive votes and a single negative vote, the track has an approval rate of 97% (an all time high for any #1 song) and a positive weighted score of 32.

In second place, Mandy Rain's "RIOT" is up over 70 positions this week, blasting 76-2 with 45 positive and 28 negative votes. That translates to an approval rating of 62%, with a positive weighted score of 17. In other words, "RIOT" would need to double its positive up votes (and little to no down votes) to reclaim the #1 position. While it's possible that "RIOT" does indeed succeed in pulling this upset off, it is still highly likely that DJ Fresh & Ellie Goulding pull out on top with a noticeable lead. Unfortunately, it look like "RIOT" (while having a strong presence on the Social Songs 100) will barely miss inclusion on the official Hot 50 chart at the end of the week. Remember, the Social Songs 100 is just 1 of the 4 main components that combine to create the Hot 50.

Vita Chambers' "A+D" is almost solidly guaranteed third place on the Social Songs 100 (though at one point it briefly led the voting based chart). Given that it ranked lower than #40 last week on the Social Song 100, "A+D" is getting 8 more points right off the bat from voting alone. It also receives an additional 5 points for its video premiere, which brings its growth to 13 points. With the track also gaining on Streaming Songs, its highly likely that all this growth will combine for a decently sized push on the Hot 50 (which is made up of video views, the Streaming Songs chart, the Radio Songs chart and ranks on the Social Songs chart).

VÉRITÉ's "Strange Enough" is sitting at #5 on the Social Songs 100, a strong ranking for a song in its debut frame. Combined with large amounts of Streams (plays from Spotify, and my iTunes library), the track should carry over its points toward a large debut on the Hot 50. More on that on Friday.

The next highest debut on the Social Songs 100 comes from Becky Hills and Oliver Heldens' collaborative single "Gecko (Overdrive)" which has roared onto the social voting chart at #14. While that shows that interest in the song is moderately high, it has struggled to garner points via other components that make up the official Hot 50. I'm guessing that "Gecko" falls short of the Hot 50 this week, with a debut possibly next week.
